Well I’m back from Sheridan and still very inspired by the incredibly beautiful work displayed in the Leather Debut.  112 entries this year of the best leather carving on the planet!  My students made beautiful leather earrings on their first attempts!  We had a great time.  I hope to see you all again next year.

Coming up this weekend is the Artists Along the Bitterroot studio tour.  My leather working studio is one of the featured stops on the tour, so I have been busy rebuilding my inventory.  I hope to see some of you on the tour.

I am looking forward to seeing old and new friends at the Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show in Sheridan, Wyoming later this month.  The dates for the show are May 21 – 23.  There is always a fantastic free display of some of the best leatherwork produced in the USA as well as entries from abroad in the Leather Debut Showcase.  Many interesting classes will be offered.  I will be teaching two classes on making fabulous leather jewelry.  Those classes will be offered as follows:

Saturday in the Le Gourmet Room, 1 pm – 4 pm

Sunday in the Sheridan Room 8 am – 12 noon

Learn how to make elegant leather earrings that are one of a kind!  Incorporate sterling silver or 14 kt. gold filled hardware.  Methods used include leather carving, stamping, cutting, shaping, coloring  and sealing with acrylic.  Class cost is $45.
